Advancing Research and Care in the Congenital Muscular Dystrophies (CMD), Nemaline Myopathy, and Titinopathy – Join Us at the 2025 SciFam Conference (SciFam.info)
April 15, 2025: Cure CMD, A Foundation Building Strength, and Team Titin are thrilled to announce the return of the highly-anticipated 2025 Scientific & Family (SciFam) Conference, taking place August 1–5, 2025 at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing.
Philadelphia, PA — August 1–5, 2025 — The 2025 Scientific & Family Conference (SciFam) is a premier cross-disciplinary gathering for clinicians, researchers, individuals living with congenital muscular dystrophy (CMD), titinopathy, nemaline myopathy, and related neuromuscular conditions, along with their caregivers.
Building on the success of previous conferences, SciFam has become a cornerstone event for advancing collaboration, education, and progress in the rare neuromuscular disease space. With a community-led approach to research and care, SciFam centers the experiences and priorities of those living with one of these conditions — ensuring that scientific discovery is guided by real-world needs and lived experience.
Whether you’re developing treatments, providing care, navigating life with one of these diagnoses — or supporting someone who is — SciFam offers a platform to engage, learn, and lead.
The 2025 SciFam Conference will feature a robust program designed to serve a diverse community of stakeholders:
- Friday, August 1: Afternoon Welcome Reception and Evening Social Activities
- Saturday, August 2: Affected/Family Plenary Sessions, Subtype-Specific Programming, Teen & Young Adult Programming, Kids Camp, and Evening Social Activities
- Sunday, August 3: Plenary and Organization-Specific Sessions, Bonus Sessions addressing Quality of Life and Daily Living, Kids Camp, and a Poster Session open to all attendees
- Monday/Tuesday, August 4-5: Scientific Symposium. This meeting is for researchers and clinicians with presentations and discussions for an expert audience.
The conference will feature cutting-edge research updates, practical care insights, and dynamic networking opportunities with peers and experts from around the world.
PLEASE NOTE: SciFam will not include sessions supporting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, SMA, ALS, or other neuromuscular conditions not indicated, and therefore may not be appropriate for clinicians or families focused on these subtypes.
